Great game, I enjoyed it a lot. They just need to improve their story and cinematics setups, as well as oversee a better port next time. I'd love to see a sequel to this frankly. Jubileus was awesome, great bosses!
Good article, but the system is the problem mainly. Scores should be dropped as, as the author states, they tell you nothing.
Stick with reading reviews for informed opinion. It seems as if SCORES have this aura about them, wherein a person can disagree with a written review, yet some people seem to think once its boiled down into a number it becomes fact, inarguable. That couldn't be further from the truth.
Also, Meta sucks.

Flamebait searching for hits. I'm all for discussing the pros and cons of a title... but this is just made for flaming. Considering it's also coming from Destructoid, a site that has very little to no credibility left...

You're upset that you can't cheat to get Trophies? What's wrong with earning them? Or using said costumes for, I dunno, fun? You know like back before cheap incentives to replay a game such as Trophies existed?
I disagree. While I love MGS and FF and admit their presentation is somewhat oldschool, I think titles like Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 have really started to prove how well integrated cutscenes can be into the gameplay experience.
I ask but a few small things -
Take inspiration from KH in its amazing bosses and varied locales. Also it's great combat/controls. One button combat is no fun!
Get me some better traversal/platforming than the corridors of FFXIII and occasionally Crisis Core. I want to explore please. Even KH2 got a little too linear and barren in its levels.
Still, this news excites me. Can't wait to see how it plays! E3 perhaps?

A smart gamer plays what they want and doesn't need to justify anything in the face of ONE random blogger's review score/personal opinion. Only sheep let reviews dictate their entertainment time.
It unfortunately also set the trend of all "realistic" looking titles being overbloomed and lacking any color.
Still, the first Gears was freaking great. But as I said above, long since surpassed visually.
Epic makes solid middleware. Gears looked great, but has long since been surpassed by many amazing titles visually (UC2, KZ2, GoW3, Alan Wake). I don't know what they are talking about here.
I don't recall game length ever being a selling point or box bullet point in past generations? I can beat Super Metroid in 2 hours. Yet it's an amazing experience. Start Fox? Turtles in Time? 22 minutes, tops.
Do people really just not replay games for fun anymore? That seems to be the general consensus.
Kind of funny that my biggest question is whether or not Unicron is in it. Being an origin story I doubt it, but that would make a kickass finale!

This isn't news, it's not even a rumor. I had GoW Collection freeze on me once last week in my 20 hours of play. Is that rumor/news worthy?
